Basically, Henry travels through time but he can't control it other than that he usually goes somewhere he's been before. Clare has known him her whole life because of the time travel, but doesn't meet her until he's in his late twenties. (It took me a little while to get my head around it...) And so it's about her growing up knowing him and then their relationship when they're together in the present. It's so much more though too. You really just need to read it. :) I can't explain it well enough.

The movie wasn't bad really, it's just not as good as the book. (But really, what movies are?)
