I read it ages ago, but I remember it was a fun read :-) At our first stay in New Orleans the Concierge of our hotel recommended it ... together with 'Confederacy of the Dunces'. Must be great to be able to read it while actually walking these streets.

Yes it is. And learning the history of them, though I must say it was difficult to keep up with the whole Bourbon-Toulouse-Orleans section.
