This was mediocre for me too. Her Oryx and Crake series is fabulous dystopia but this was just so-so.

I read this in HS soWas not overly impressed. However, the series is impressive!

I will definitely read Oryx and Crake based on your recommendation as well as that of a couple of other friends here. This one just didn't feel all that cohesive actually, and it surprised me as I'm typically a huge fan of Atwood's writing. Maybe it was all the hype!!

Jen, I was thinking maybe I'd have liked this more if I read it when it first came out, but perhaps that wouldn't have been the case either! I might give the series a try one of these days :)
