it was amazing
bookshelves: unforgettables, to-re-read, reviewed

Has it ever happened to you that you are standing, facing a magnificent, breathtaking view, in solitude, and a strong wind hits you in the face? You try to stay still, with eyes closed and then an involuntary smile comes across your face? This book was like that.

Cheryl Yes, I know the feeling. What a way to describe your reading experience...

Dolors Talking about sensorial experiences...wow Himanshu, I could even envision the image of hair flapping around encompassing the wind! :)

Glenn Russell Great image. I've read this gem several times. Many quotable passages. My last reading really brought home how S's enlightenment at the end of the novel is a bhakti realization.

I certainly plan to read it several times too, Glenn. Actually I kind of felt that the whole book was one giant quote. ;) Reading it at different interval of years would definitely bring out something new each time. It is that kind. Thanks for stopping by.

Samadrita I had put a pause to reading this months ago and never picked it up again. Now I have to.

Those 3 sentences you write for the sake of a review perfectly capture your awe and appreciation.

I guess it somewhat depends upon the mood or recently read books or general mind frame for one to like it straight away. Do pick this up soon, it's a couple of hours of bliss. :)

Hannah Louise Feel the same way completely - beautifully put! Have never read a book at such a slow pace, taking pleasure in nearly every single sentence

Hey Ankit, I hope you do like it. It's great that you haven't been exposed to the actual contents of the book yet, the breath of fresh air will hit you even harder now, hopefully.
