it was ok
bookshelves: partial-reads

When I realized that several days had gone by that I hadn't picked up a book because I was dreading the idea of finishing this one, I realized it might be time to just send it back to the library. The print was so tiny that it kept giving me headaches, and the pacing was glacial. From reading a group discussion about the book, I desperately wanted to read the interesting bits, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Jeffrey But even though you could not finish it you still said it was okay under the Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ rating system

Was it truly not worth reading at all.

How bad does a book have to be to be a total yuck

Brooke I don't usually follow GR's rating guidelines and consider 3 stars to be more "it's okay" than 2 stars. However, I don't think this was necessarily a bad book. It's just a matter of deciding what I'm going to spend my reading time on and what I feel the payoff is going to be for that time spent. Had the print been larger and my mood been different, I possibly could have been able to push through and get something more out of it than I did. I think there were good things in these pages, but the way it was written just didn't let me get much out of it.
