I have liked Kristin Hannah’s other books, but I could not get through this one. I actually returned it to Audible because it was not worth an Audible credit. I didn’t care for the writing and didn’t like any of the characters, so it was difficult to continue. Julia wasn’t believable as a pediatric psychiatrist; nor was her sister Ellie as a police chief. It has moved to my “did not finish� ŷ bookshelf, and that’s where it will stay.

It was terrible. She writes the worst women characters. I just finished and I need a drink.

These characters were terribly one dimensional. Should be interesting discussing it at book club!
