For this challenge you need to read one book for every letter of the alphabet. For each letter, read a book where the title or author's name (first or last) begins with that letter. For example, for A you could read Antony and Cleopatra, or a book by Louisa May Alcott or Amanda Quick. You cannot use the same book twice, you can't count Little Women by Louisa May Alcott for both L and A. You are however free to read multiple titles by the same author and then you could use the letter for the author's first name and the letter for the author's last name.

Since some letters may be more difficult than others, you only have to use 23 to complete the challenge. Ideally, since this is a historical fiction group the books would be historical fiction or nonfiction, but this is not required any book will count as long as it is not a reread or a picture book. Feel free to use audiobooks, young adult books, juvenile chapter books, or graphic novles. All books must be read between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013.

Post books as you read them. It is not necessary to post a list of what you are planning on reading, but you can if you want to. It's ok to cheat off what others have posted if you see a book you might like to read as well. The main idea for this challenge is to have fun so enjoy :).

I am posting a sample list of what I am planning on reading to get everyone started:

Amber | 49 comments After so thought and creative thinking to keep them mostly historical fiction (I know I have one that is not and two that are questionable) I have come up with a alphabetical list of 23 books.

I am with April though in wanting to know if they need to be read in order or if we can complete our lists randomly.

They do not need to be read in alphabetical order. You can complete your list in whatever order you want.
