jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Once Upon a Time I haven't read the Matched series yet, but I figure it'll be good. You should give it a whirl.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Jamria I have read the first book and I didn't like the other two books.

message 403: by jam (new)

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Once Upon a Time Hmm. "Every Day" by David Levithan. It's not exactly dystopian. But has a really nice concept!

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments @Jamira read that too.

message 405: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments @Once Upon a Time Looks like you read pretty much all the good YA dystopian books :) you should try exploring another genre.

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Once Upon A Time John Green is my favorite author. David Levithan has some realistic YA..How about Rainbow Rowell?

message 411: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments Yes, have you read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell?

message 412: by jam (new)

jam (jamirUGH) | 64 comments @Once Upon A Time For mystery, have you heard of the Mysterious Benedict Society? May sound childish, but it's an awesome series for both kids and adults.
You should also try The Search for WondLa. Awesome read.
I love reading classic lit, and if you want to try it, one of my favorites is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

Just if you want to try new genres.

Unwind is a nice dystopian series, if you want to stick to that genre.

noah is pretty swoon worthy :)

message 421: by Greta (new)

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4547 comments ugh…pretty disgusted with myself. It's a new year, so I thought I'd be starting a new book. Instead, I just keep rereading my favorite parts of previously read books. Any suggestions?
I love paranormal, dystopian, or fantasy (not high fantasy though) and i love there to be romance in the story. it doesn't have to dominate the story though.

anything you found un-put-downable i'd love to check out. Thank you!!

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments I recently read Champion by Marie Lu and since you loved the first two in the series, maybe you could try it :)

i started it, and unfortunately i got halfway through and predicted what would happen…then giving in to my bad self i peeked at the ending to confirm it. i think i 've ruined it for myself. i have mixed feelings about that ending by the way

I thought it was alright, quite an odd one though. It didn't live up to it's pretty cover for me. Maybe you could borrow a copy?

message 428: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 4 comments I'm looking for books that are YA and full of action but I've already read a lot in that genre and am having trouble finding more good ones

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3833 comments Hannelore wrote: "Ya, NA, every genre, can be standalone & series, really, I'm open for anything ;)"

If you haven't read it yet, then I'd really recommend The Book Thief by Markus Zusak as a standalone. As for series, I'd recommend Percy Jackson and the Lux series of you haven't read either of those.

I'm staying far away from TFiOS. Lol. I read Looking for Alaska, but I wasn't as impressed with it as others seem to be. I'm not a fan of open endings. I haven't read anything else by him, but I do own a copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan that I haven't had a chance to read yet.

I have read books such as Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1) by Jamie McGuire , The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley Bad Rep (Bad Rep, #1) by A. Meredith Walters , Frigid (Frigid, #1) by J. Lynn

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3833 comments My Favorite Mistake (My Favorite Mistake, #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron is about a boy and girl who end up having to room together in a dorm. I didn't like it much, but I know a lot of people who did. I don't typically like that kind of book though so don't judge it by how I liked it. It has a really good rating on here (4.06).
