message 577: by Roberto (new)

Roberto (toukee) | 1 comments Mr. Coelho,
I've enjoyed reading some of your novels and I'm looking forward to reading the new one. Your stories are heavy on God and spirituality, but many, like myself, don't believe on a god or are not very spiritual. Yet your stories seem to translate, affect, and inspire that community. I think that's very hard to do. Can you explain how you think your themes and messages do that?
Thank you!

message 578: by Faheem (new)

Faheem Memon (faheemquest) | 2 comments Hi Paulo, hope you are gale and glad.. I started translating The Alchemist in Sindhi language. at the moment i am about to complete it, and there comes a news that this book is already in market translated in Sindhi. When I got this news I was shocked, but, the only thing that gave me courage and hope is that, I wanted this book to be translated in Sindhi, so that our people too could understand your philosophy, so if it is already in the market then why I am worried? This the the question I asked to myself and got relaxed.

" life is a gift of GOD, and gifts are always beautiful, life is also beautiful, now it is in our hands to make it heaven or hell,"

So life goes on.. When They Came to know that they have become Capable Of Understanding the language of World,& can penetrate into The Soul of the World They Misuse it !!! do you agree with this????????????

Misty Lagermann | 1 comments Dear Mr. Coelho,

Your writings inspire me and I find that they have helped me through some pretty heavy times in my life, thank you.
Our Creator gave us free will so why would he then take it away with "Destiny", basically removing that free will and deciding for us how our lives would be. I have come to believe that our "destiny" is our free will and the psychic abilities we share with one another. For example: Two people being at the right place at the right time because they are in tune with each other. The laws of the universe stuff.

What are your feelings/thoughts?

- If you lived for decades but still didn't find someone you love who loves you back equally. Would you go for the person who loves or the person you love? (If you had to choose, I mean)

Thank you so much and I hope you have time to answer most of us, we love you! :)

you are my favorite writer ... I have two questions for you
First:
Back to Aleph.., this amazing novel, did it happen to you in real life?
and if not , have you ever met someone make you feel like what you write in Aleph?

Sec:
what do you think about Islam?

message 590: by Proudcat (new)

Proudcat | 1 comments Paulo,I think I've read pretty much every book you wrote. My favorites are the Alchemist, Eleven Minutes and Veronika Decides To Die.
I've noticed that religion plays increasingly large and even overwhelming role in your last several books.
So my question is do you think Faith and God are the answers to all questions? Don't you agree that a person himself/herself, his/her internal drive, will and what is inside overall is a lot more important?

Thanks a lot!

I started with The Alchemist, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, The Zahir, Eleven Minutes, and The Witch of Portobello. And everytime I go to the bookstore, I always check if you have a new book released to add to my list of favorite Paulo Coelho books. Whenever I feel empty, I read your books and I finish full of inspiration. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and insights to us, to the world. I am very inspired about the spirituality and love present in each book. You captured me when I was young, and you still do now that I am a mother. Your work is timeless, or should I say, ageless as it is for my case. I cannot thank you enough. More power and blessings to you Paulo. Looking forward to reading more of your books.
