Kate (kaitlins16) There is four of us moderators now, so I think this is a great way to chat about what we're doing in the group. On the other group I'm a moderator on, I have found this kind of thread to be very helpful.

message 2: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I like this much better than sending messages

message 3: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Can anyone tell me (I'm mainly asking Jenny because she would know) more about how getting freebies on Libboo?

I'm working hard for buzzing for this book ( ).

message 4: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Thanks, Jenny.

We could ask questions about their writing (like how they got into it, how their writing process works, etc.) and then ask about the books that they've written.

message 8: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Thanks Elizabeth for getting the authors for interviews. :)

So here are the people we got:

Kaitlyn Price - Kaitlyn Price, author of Avenging Amethyst (Immortal Eyes, #1) by Kaitlyn Price

Lisa Morgan - Lisa Morgan, author of Phoenix Rising (Maggie Henning & The Realm #1) by Lisa Morgan Phoenix Burning (Maggie Henning & the Realm, #2) by Lisa Morgan Phoenix Shadow (Maggie Henning & The Realm #3) by Lisa Morgan and more.

S.L.J Short (Elizabeth, could you tell me a little bit about this author?)

message 9: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Jenny and Chelsea, when do you usually put the polls up for the next month's BOTMs?

message 10: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments S.l.j. Short wrote blood Heavy it is on my reading list so how do we want to do this just send them interview questions we can do a live interview with Kaitlin price since she will be here on sat I'm hoping Kaitlin can handle the interview I am over booked for Saturday my son is turning 5 and I really don't have a clue how to do this but I'm willing to learn this authors are awesome we need to figure out when we want to do the other two interviews I have an email to get ahold of Lisa and S.L.J short is reachable through good reads he is on my friends list

message 12: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) "It's all fun and games until someone gets eaten."

First sentence of the description of Blood Heavy.

message 13: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments They are vampires and the main character has blood that gives the bad vampires super power and the good vampires want to use his blood to try to cure vampireism it's a really good book the two vampires that are trying to protect him are sisters that hate each other and have to work together and they are kick butt vamps lol

message 14: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I had a suggestion made to me that we have a place where people can get advice on life what do you guys think I thought we had a place for that

message 15: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I saw a thread somewhere for that on the group.

message 16: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Thats what I thought hey I wanted to get your thought on the interviews would you like me to get more and have them on stand by or work with the ones we have

message 17: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I would like to work on the ones we have for now and come up with what questions we want to ask.

message 18: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Sounds good to me will you be able to do the one on Saturday I sort of overbooked my day I have like five places to be but if I need to I can get away for this and do we want to put up that folder for the interviews and send a message to everyone to get questions from the members I really liked that idea

message 19: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Yeah, we can make that questions area.

What time on Saturday is the interview again?

message 20: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments 6 mountain time I don't know what time your on it's 11:24 here now

message 21: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Unless I write her or we just send here the interview to answer than post it she's a member of the group I think I can't remember witch group I became friends with her in

message 22: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments That was suppose to be which not witch I love auto correct lol

message 23: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I can't find her in this group, so it must be another group you found her in.

Apparently, mountain time is one hour ahead of mine (I have Pacific time, so it's 8:36 right now). I do like the idea of actually coming up with questions to send her, instead of having it be live. Then there's less chance there will be a mix up in time. We could also get the answers from her, and then we post the interview here for the other members to see.

How would a live interview work, anyway? I've never done one. I know you haven't either, but do you have an idea of how it would be carried out?

message 24: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Not unless we open a folder tell everyone what time she will be here and do it just like we do the chats

message 25: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I like sending the questions better we can send a message to everyone in the group and see if they have any they would like to ask than just send it your really good with posting stuff I'm still learning oh and I went into the edit on the games to move and hit folder and all that I can find is dead discussions is that how I move stuff or is there another way sorry to bug

message 26: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Oh, dead discussions is basically the archive. And yeah, that's how you move discussions.

message 27: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments K thanks I'm figuring everything out lol

message 28: by Chelsea (last edited Apr 07, 2013 11:35PM) (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Kaitlin wrote: "Jenny and Chelsea, when do you usually put the polls up for the next month's BOTMs?"

Around about now-ish basically 7-14th.

message 29: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Ummm and archiving is just something extra you can do if you have time and want to. I don't move book discussion threads or important stuff etc. I've been thinking not to move any Character discussion either... I'm not sure about that. If you guys want you could kinda pick an area of folders that you want to archive. It doesn't really matter all that much but it keeps the group cleaner I guess.

message 30: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments K we were talking about the games there are some of them that haven't been played for 2 months

message 31: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Ok this morning I was listening to the radio and they were doing " things that just are not right" like the pink cars that look like a white one was washed with a red one it sounds like something fun but where would we put this

message 32: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Hmm, I'm not sure.

By the way, Jenny, stumble upon really worked with quickening the process. Twitter also worked really well with getting buzz hits.

Anyway, I'm hoping to set something up when I get home after school where I can give some of my freebies away.

message 33: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Shoot. I was going to set up a giveaway after school today, but I'm really busy.

I've got these that I will be using for a giveaway on this group (I have one copy available of each):

The Suburban Strange by Nathan Kotecki The Order of the Magi by Connor Pritchard Dead Is the New Black (Dead Is, #1) by Marlene Perez A Certain Slant of Light (Light, #1) by Laura Whitcomb Croak (Croak, #1) by Gina Damico

message 34: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments Ok I have chatted with Kaitlin price and told her our mod Kaitlin would be sending questions for the interview so just let me know when we are ready for the other two and I will get ahold of themto let them know I really like the idea of letting the members ask the questions it seems more involved that way I have some more authors as soon as we get through the ones we have set up and I'm working on some bigger ones too so hopefully it will help with activity in the group I think it's just a busy time of year with school for everyone

message 35: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Yes. April and May are busy school months, especially where I'm at. There's eight weeks left in my school year (seven for seniors) and I have big tests to take and an important essay to write. So even I will have less time for Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ in these coming weeks.

message 36: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Ohh it's ok, Jenny and I have just started our school year. So our homework is just starting to pile up It's ok if you spend less time on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ you have exams, we just have tests!

message 37: by Chelsea (new)

Thank You so much.

message 38: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Elizabeth wrote: "K we were talking about the games there are some of them that haven't been played for 2 months"

uhh I just made a new folder called Featured discussions. You can stick a few unactive games in their and see if anyone will play them. :)

message 39: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments ok so I moved the ones that hadn't been played in over a month do I have to delete them from the game folder now cause they are still there

message 40: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Tomorrow is going to a very reading central day for me. I will send those interview questions to Kaitlyn Price, and I will close the giveaway. I've also got a whole bunch of reading to catch up on. I feel like I've been neglecting my books for the last two weeks.

message 41: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Elizabeth wrote: "ok so I moved the ones that hadn't been played in over a month do I have to delete them from the game folder now cause they are still there"

They shouldn't still be there? Where did you move them to?

message 42: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I agree. They should only be in one folder. Maybe you didn't save correctly?

message 43: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Might be some kind of bug?

message 44: by Chelsea (last edited Apr 13, 2013 09:13PM) (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments I will try to move one and I will see what happens.

message 45: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments yea good idea :)

message 46: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments judging from the amount of book discussions in each folder, we need a couple more historical fiction and contemporary books.

message 47: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I like the individual book discussions. :)

I'll probably post some books that I have read lately or have really loved.

message 48: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments :D

message 49: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments hey do you think we could do a paranormal discussion thats what I love reading I'm just not sure how many people would be interested thats what I mainly read we could do something like what is your favorite paranormal and diffrent stuff like that

message 50: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I say go ahead and do that.

I have some other stuff to do right now, but afterwards I'm going to post some individual book discussions in the different genre folders.
