Annie, I just can't do it.....as someone who has read and reread Pride and Prejudice so many times, I am just unable to read Longbourn or Death at Pemberley or any of the others....the original is just too sacred to me and I would be scarred for life if the author changed anything about the characters I love so much!

Ursula Todd is reborn time and time again. She gets to relive her life until she gets it right. A concept that most of us have only thought about...

funny, without really thinking about it I have probably read it yearly as well - it's like sometimes I just miss it so I need to read it again. My heart always pounds at the end.....never have loved any book like I love this one and could never let anything ruin that.
I loved the movie version with Colin Firth - the one with Keira Knightly was so-so. Have any of you seen one or both of them?

Just finished Heaven Is For Real. Loved it.

Lovely little book, filled with heartbreak and humor. I listened to this one and loved the narrator's Irish accent and the antics of the characters!

(I have a Read-a-Thon going on this weekend in another group)

Reading The Perfume Collector by Kathleen Tessaro which is turning out to be less than I had expected.

Sara, it sounds like something I would like. Added to my tbr, thank you.

I'm currently reading Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin. I'm about 3/4 of the way through & I just love it - I hope you enjoy it as well!

My mistake - thought you were reading Crooked - but you've already read it! :) :)

Hope you enjoy it, the novel has a mystery in it that keeps you reading!

Can't wait for your comments when you finish it! If it's as good as Crooked then I'll have to read Tilted also :) :)

Seems like a great story, so far...wish I had more reading time though!

Now I'm reading The World We Made. Liking it!

Now I'm reading The World We Made. Liking it!"
Thanks Lela! Will try it anyway, just not right away in order to resist comparing the two books too closely :) :)
Not familiar with The World We Made, will have to check it out,
Cheers

Just got back from a couple of weeks away, and read Longbourn. It's very good - well written and researched, and skilfully done. Only problem for me is that I love 'Pride and Prejudice'! Without giving anything away, there is something about the way in which the original story is woven into the plot of Longbourn which rather changes the personality of one of the characters I love. But don't let that dissuade you from reading it - it's a great read!
