message 703: by Tami (new)

Tami Egonu | 5 comments I read The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly in just a couple of hours. A simple but profound story about a barn hen called Sprout and her desire to be free. There are so many aspects in such a small book by this wonderful Korean author that we can all relate to.

Hey, there goes sprout flying high in the sky ;)

Britany | 901 comments I just finished Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth 4 Stars!!!

I have to admit-- I was hesitant about reading this series, as I loved the Hunger Games, and at first I thought this was just another dystopian series... But, I couldn't be more wrong and I'm so glad I finally read it! Now onto the next one...

message 711: by Britany (new)

Britany | 901 comments Sure Lorrea! It's similar in the fact that it's YA and Dystopian-- but storylines and plot are different.

message 713: by Britany (new)

Britany | 901 comments Finished Kings of the Earth by Jon Clinch 3 Stars!

I listened to this one on audiobook-- Each chapter was narrated by different characters and jumped back and forth in different times. 3 brothers growing up on a farm in upstate New York. One morning, one of them is dead, and the other two are left as primary suspects...

Some YA books can be a good read for adults too it just depends if the subject matter catches your interest. So I don't let that stop me. This was a quick light read.
