Annie Thomas Does anyone else enjoy the Lindsey Davies stories about the 1st Century Roman detective, Marcus Didius Falco? They have great plots, fantastic historical detail, and terrific characters.

Hope you enjoy them May, they can be humerous as well! Try and read them roughly in sequence if you can as the characters develop throughout the series, but the odd one out here and there is fine.

Are they anything like Cadfael, the detective priest in Britain! I don't know why I would think they might be. They're written by Ellis Peters.

Lela (lacslc) | 191 comments I'm reading Raymond and Trudy by Michael Twist. I'm more than halfway finished and I love it! Great characters with interesting, layered development. The story is shaping up nicely, too. It is written as a YA (which I haven't been for a zillion years) but I believe anyone could/would enjoy it!

I read both her 1st book that introduces her characters and her latest Wrecked. I enjoyed both of them, they are nice light summer reads. I look forward to your thoughts once you finish :)

The Divine Arsonist: A Tale of Awakening. It was AMAZING. Labeled Spiritual Fiction it is reminiscent of a modern day Alchemist tale.

Ballerinas, Barres, and Broken characters... After pondering this all day, I really connected to this book. More serious than one would think, and not a "feel good" book- beautiful writing and deeply drawn serious characters leaves me satisfied.
