Any chance for a sci-fi folder? I certainly know several authors and beta-reader types that would be most comfortable in that category.

And, believe me when I tell you that you don't want to see my pajama shots. B-)

I have a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ event going right now that people seem to like: Would you like to be a character in a novel. Feel free to join in. http://www.goodreads.com/event/show/8...

So, I'd like to have a folder created for Time Travels.
Tomorrow my latest Time Travel, Birdie's Nest, will be free on Amazon. Here is the link.

The group is kind of like a networking cocktail party...but you have to provide your own drinks and munchies. Picture a room full of "book people"; authors, reviewers, editors, beta readers, book bloggers, and so forth. Scattered throughout the room are tables covered with business cards. Here at HYM, those tables are Folders (Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi, etc.), and the business cards are discussion threads that members (The Chaotic Reader, Jane Doe Editing, E. A. Poe, etc.) have started in the folders. Please note that if Poe joins the group, I will most likely have a heart attack. Anyway, at the party, you can wander over to a table that interests you, rummage through the cards there, and find someone to talk to. At HYM, you find a folder of interest, look through the discussion threads, and strike up a conversation.
Back at the party, you'll notice people talking one-on-one about one of them editing the other's book or someone doing an interview on another's blog, but you'll also see groups of people here and there. Those groups are discussing general book-related topics; best time of day to write, optimum number of blog posts per week, whether your particular function in the world of books is best done fully clothed or in your pajamas, and so forth. Here in the group, those little knots of people are the "Talk" folders; Author Talk, Editor Talk, etc. Just start a discussion thread on whatever you want to talk about within those general categories.
If your discussions inspire you to show us your bookshelves, writing space, pajamas, or whatever, feel free to post pics in the "Photos" section...but please be careful with those pajama shots. B-)
While this is a place where you can do business like arranging editing projects, reviews, interviews, and what not, it's also a place to relax and meet new people, so be nice and have fun.
