2014 Authors After Dark Challenge

Author After Dark Convention (AAD) is taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina from August 6th to August 10th, 2014. Fran came up with a great challenge to make us a part of the convention. More information on the convention can be found at

Duration: January 1 2014 - December 31, 2014.

There are 5 levels for this challenge. Each level has 5 books that need to be read. You can read 1-5 levels. But you must read all 5 books to complete a level. You do not need to complete a level to start another one. You may start out small and add on as you wish. Or start out big and reduce as needed :)

� You may only read books by the authors listed in message 2 and/or from the list on the convention's website. ***The list of authors are going to be changing, with more authors that will be attending and/ or authors that might come off the list, but we will allow them to be used.

� You may use an author more than once, but for different categories, and a title can only be used once for the entire challenge.
� NO minimum page requirement.


Level 1: Read 1 category, 5 books
Level 2: Read 2 categories, 10 books
Level 3: Read 3 categories, 15 books
Level 4: Read 4 categories, 20 books
Level 5: Read 5 categories, 25 books

We had so much fun :) Read a book that center around the food industry, a bar/saloon, has a character that is a chef, food critic, bartender, or someone who just loves to eat or drink!

GTFO. Seriously. AAD is going to be held in Charlotte, NC? Queen City? Charlotte, NC where I actually LIVE and actually go to college and am actually breathing AIR in right now? How did I not know this? It's like when they were filming parts of THG in Charlotte & I didn't know until I actually drove by the set. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THG WAS HERE SO I COULD STALK LIAM HEMSWORTH GET PICS WITH THE CAST? *LL needs a moment*

Okay. I am calm(ish). I will think about joining this challenge. Actually, I feel like I have to join it now since AAD will be here and that means HELL YEAH I am going.

LOL....Lucky you! YAY.. I was bummed when I found out the RT convention in 2012 was held in Chicago, literally like a 10 mins drive away from where I was living at the time. I was kicking myself as to how I could have missed out on it. But look now you have a chance to attend, and you can let us know how it goes. :)
