Awesome, how was it? :)

Karolina Kat (karolina_kat) | 771 comments I really liked it. It's a very complex story with many metaphors and as the title suggest - there is just so much you cannot see at he first glance, when you read the story. Only after thinking through the events and interpreting metaphors you are able to fully appreciate the novel. It's beautiful, sad of course - when you consider the setting - but beautiful nonetheless.

Jeeva Sk (orwellian) | 38 comments I'll pick it up by tomorrow guys, hope I understand all those metaphors :)

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) I'm starting tonight. No guarantees on when I finish though. :)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) I read this one a few months back and truly loved it. I usually love books with WWII settings, so it is no real surprise there. However, this book had a certain magical quality to it that made the story really beautiful. Hope those who are reading it truly enjoy it! :)

Jeeva - I don't think it's that difficult to understand or appreciate. Given that an idiot like me could understand it, am sure you will do so as well! :P :) Looking forward to your views on it! :)

Ohh hoo, Sri this what we call as serious underplay :P Since you have pointed out that the backdrop is WWII, the novel is already vulnerable of high rating and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction does more harm for the predilection. :)

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) Approx 30% done. The book is sad, but has a melodious sound to it. Lovely writing!

Ahtims (embeddedinbooks) | 2936 comments I may start it later this month, if so , shall surely join in the discussion, though I find it really hard to pen down my thoughts in detail...
