message 119: by Willemijn (last edited Dec 13, 2015 02:22AM) (new)

Willemijn (willemijn_z) | 202 comments This sounds like fun! I didn't really want to participate in any challenges, other than just trying to read a certain number of books. Looking at my to-read shelf though, I think I'll be reading books from at least 10 different countries. To make this a bit more of an actual challenge for me, please sign me up for 15 books/countries.

These are some of the books I already own, but haven't read yet, that would qualify:

Belgium: Maan en Zon Stefan Brijs
Brazil: The Zahir Paulo Coelho
China: De keizerin Jung Chang
Czech republic: De vuurvliegjes achterna Martin Šimek
Germany: De schaakmachine Robert Löhr
India: The Glass Palace Amitav Ghosh
Peru: De stad van de wilde goden Isabel Allende
Spain: Alles onder de hemel Matilde Asensi
Sweden: Het bezoek van de lijfarts Per Olov Enquist

Adding Dutch, British and American authors to that list shouldn't be too hard, so I guess I'll make up the rest of the list as I go.

I'm sorry the list is mostly in Dutch, but for most books I've added links to the Dutch editions, because those are the books I own. Where an English edition is linked, that'll be the one I'll be reading.

message 120: by Alexxy (new)

Alexxy | 271 comments I'll try for 10 books. But will it be possible to add up to the numbers later if I could?

message 121: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments Alexxy, I'm not sure if I know exactly what you're asking. If you want to choose countries later, you can do that. If you want to change your goal later, you can do that too! If I've missed the point entirely, please let me know so I can answer your actual question. :)

message 122: by Alexxy (new)

Alexxy | 271 comments No, I got my answer. I meant the goal, sorry for the confusion. So, I'll start with 10 books and add up later if I could!
