Hello everyone, looking forward to playing with you!
Roger, I don't think we've really "met" before, but anyone who loves Lynn Flewelling's books automatically qualifies as a friend! ;)

Three for the road
Three books to the wind
Three Musketeers (even though in the book there were actually four) or to take even a further three hint -- Three Tridenteers.

I can be the captain if anybody else doesn't want to be."
I can live with Three Books to the Wind Even though my Personal Favorite is The Three Tridenteers. And Yes you are now captain unless the other two object.
I'm fine with Laura being captain!
I'd say let's go with The Three Tridenteers then, can't have too many threes. ;)

Rated 4 Stars:
The story and plot was good but with all the hype I have heard about this series I was expecting even more. Troy Bishop is an assassin working for the U.S. Government. Sawyer Quinton is a werewolf and an architect. While Troy is on vacation from his duties He returns to home, A reservation about an hour from Seattle, Washington. Troy is Sawyer's fated mate. Troy's ex, who cheated on him, follows him and set out to terrorize Troy and Sawyer. In the final showdown, Troy is fatally wounded and changed into a werewolf to save him. We then read about how Troy and his assassin friends learn to deal with Troy being a werewolf. Lots of love shine throughout the characters. If it weren't for a few annoying proofing errors and a starting point that leads us to expect something else (the mission was successful until the target was dead, it was Troy's exit that got bungled. He is rescued by another band of assassins.) Over all I recommend this book as a good read

Divine Justice by David Baldacci (Camel Club #4)
Finished: 19 April 2014

Review:
A gripping, action-packed thriller that doesn't pull any punches. Featuring as protagonists a former government assassin on the run from the authorities after two high-profile killings and the man put in charge of hunting him down, the fast-paced and densely woven plot filled with conspiracies and behind-the-scenes plotting comes with numerous twists that make the book almost impossible to put down. Not having read the previous books in the series (I picked this one up on a whim at a sale a few years ago), I was missing some background on the characters, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the novel and I'll certainly be looking up more from this author in future.

Review: This wasn't my favorite by any means, but it did serve it's purpose well by setting up the next big arc for Rose and friends. I'm very anxious to see if they can discover the cure for Strigoi and how they plan to deal with Victor. It was too bad that Rose had to spend nearly the entire book away from the St. Vlad's crew, but I liked the introduction to the Alchemists. Good book that suffered from the disparate settings and characters, but ultimately rebooted the series focus in an interesting way.

Zorro by Isabel Allende - first published 2005

It took forever to finish. I haven't read a book where the story went so slow for a long time. I did like the story itself and it was nice to read how Diego became Zorro the fist time.

who is the author of the book? There is 2 books with same title.

Kiss of Fire by Deborah Cooke (Dragonfire #1)
Finished: 21 April 2014
Rating: ****
Review:
Kiss of Fire is the first book in a series of paranormal romances featuring a race of dragon shifters called the Pyr. With likable protagonists, a good pace and a plot that mixes action and romance with a few nice twists this was a very entertaining read. Deborah Cooke does a good job introducing the reader to this world with some interesting glimpses of the Pyr's history and lore as well as the introductions of many characters we'll likely get to know better in further installments of the Dragonfire series.

Review: I wanted to love this more because I thought the blurb was great. Unfortunately the Author used a story within the story gimmick that I think didn't add to the story I would have loved to read just the story and not deal with the outer frame which was cute but detracted from the story in general. basically to men Will, a teacher at a christain elementary school who thinks he is straight and Kenny a graphic designer are having bad days. Kenny come home to suprize his boyfriend when he walk in on said boyfriend cheating and if that is not bad enough the cheater is using Kenny's sex toys. Will got fired for allowing his fifth graders to read Harry Potter. Kenny throws out all his sextoys because he didn't know which oine for sure were used by the cheating boyfriend and the person he cheated with. Then Will when leaving after getting fired back into Kenny's trash can and scatters it all over the street. They work together to clean it up and then commiserate about there bad days. The relationship goes on from there. A lot of cute antics happen as they are both Sci-Fi and graphic novel geeks.
Will realizes that he has always been gay but just thought he was asexual as women didn't really do anything for him.

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman - 1st book in the series
4 Stars 22.04
This book starts off on a space ship and then the main characters find them selves on a planet where there is no human life. Also they are the only ones who survived the the ship accident. The story shows how they try to makes it there and what they find there. It ended interestingly, so I'm quite eager to read the second book :) great 1st book!

Review: I was so excited about the dragons, but they didn't make many appearances unfortunately. The love story was okay, and I liked that Kael found some healing from his past abusive relationship. I didn't care for his random abilities or the way characters kept reminding each other to remind him to eat (why was this so important?). My qualms were small, but they added up and led to me not enjoying this as much as I wanted.

This book asks the question can two men who were sexually molested as boys, who gave up on therapy heal enough to have a real relationship. K.Z. Snow answers with a yes provided they both work for it. I wasn't overly enthralled with the Polka music in it but the emotional story was good. We learned both there background both were molested in 1999. So reading both what happened and seeing how it still affected the characters to this day while emotionally draining was needed. this is a good emotionally wounded survivors help heal each toher story. If not for the polka band and I live in Polka capital of Wisconsin where the book is set. I love a good polka but there was just too much of it for me.
