This is a general group. In joining this group you have agreed TO REVIEW ANY ALLOCATED BOOK within the set 12 week limit.
There is no genre filtering.
If you are only willing to review your own preferred genres then sorry, but you’re better off finding a group that specialises in your preference, or joining one of the 18+ rounds or a ‘clean� review round. In this general group you might be asked to review fiction/non-fiction, adults�/children’s books, a religious text, BDSM, or anything in between. Allocation is entirely random and there will NOT be any rearranging of the listing to accommodate genre preference. The ONLY circumstance in which you may duck out of giving a review is if YOU provide a stand-in reviewer.

Let’s be honest here � we don’t all like the same things but we all want reviews. The only way this group can function is if we trust each other to behave honourably. And it IS perfectly possible to give a fair-minded review of a text that does not coincide with our normal choice of reading matter. If you need a few hints/tips, please see this thread:

Do not sign up until you have completed all your reviews in another review round in the group.

Make sure you have an author profile set up before you join and that your book is available for sale on amazon (not pre-0rder).

Please let me know as you sign up if you have been reviewed by, or have reviewed another author in the group. It is permissible to review an author more than once if a different book is available, but reciprocal reviews within the group are strictly prohibited.

I've reviewed Far Knowing, and I've reviewed Allie Cresswell before but for a different book, which is the one she offers in this round.

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. At the risk of being labeled as a disgruntled participant, (that ship has probably already sailed and I realize it's better to be gruntled :-) ) If I'm scheduled to review you, can you make sure that you're discoverable through the internal mail at GRs or otherwise have a way for me to receive your book? Hunting down some folks is akin to locating someone in the witness protection program. I know it's against recommended best practices, but you can send me your book as a MOBI or PDF to [email protected] it's a throwaway email address that I've used forever and the spammers already know about.

Allie, Not to worry. The rule is that you should not ever review someone who has reviewed you. It is O.K. to be reviewed again by the same person.

If anyone else has this problem and wants to avoid leaving an email on this public thread, just go to message 23 above (this is from David) and click on the small image of David. This will take you to his profile. There should be a downward pointing "arrow" to the right of his (larger) image there and if you click on it, it will show an option to "send a message."

This method will apply to anyone you are trying to reach.

Some of us have set our personal profiles so as NOT to receive messages. If you are in this group, perhaps you'd like to reconsider.

Sorry, my mistake. I mixed them up too.

I have a simple system for who to send to / who to ask for the books. I just look at the next four people after my name... I review them. The four people behind me on the list... they review me.

To be honest, I find the headings "As Reviewers" or "As Authors" confusing... who are the reviewers or authors? Why not simply say, "Get the others' books from these people" or "Send your book to these people...."

Just my thoughts after seeing multiple review rounds.
