that's a bargain!

But first, in the mail from Text
Murder With the Lot by Aussie Sue Williams. I was hanging out for this as I have the 2nd book in the series Dead Men Don't Order Flake to read and review. And I do like to start with the first book in a series. They look like fun reads.
From the library, I got The Cellar and The Extra Ordinary Life of Frank Derrick, Age 81
And on Jools reccy I picked up an ARC of Tom Houghton for $2
Also The Elephant Vanishes $3 and
Death Of A Lake $2
:))

Oh well spotted Marianne! I hope you bump it up the list ;)

Absolutely loved Gone With the Wind. I have an old copy but not sure what year.

Thanks for a wonderful time, Mish and Elaine. I'm having a great time exploring your city and have loved meeting both of you!
Elaine has kindly given me Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith and The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson while Mish has gifted me a couple of audiobooks - Rush Oh! by Shirley Barrett and Laurinda by Alice Pung - which will hopefully make doing some mundane tasks such as walking on the treadmill or driving long distances more enjoyable! And she also popped in a beautiful painted wooden bookmark!
Thanks again, ladies!

Thanks, Marianne! I agree - I'm currently reading a book with a Melbourne setting while I am here - unfortunately it's a crime so I hope I won't get to the point where I'm too scared to leave the hotel!

Well-researched fiction based on true events?? Never mind, I'm leaving the hotel anyway! Putting on shoes and socks as I type...kind of!
And I think I've hijacked the thread - anyone with any more wonderful and enticing new books??

my current read, The Beast is definitely all fiction, nothing remotely true, but certainly enjoyable!

I'm really looking forward to yesterday's acquisition Murder With the Lot, bumped it up to "next read"

Sounds like loads of fun and great gifts from the girls Kathryn! Good for you... so pleased you're doing the tourist things while you're there too :)

Oh well, mine may not be true, but it could be... I'm not sure how imaginative the author may have been or how much research he's done!

Thanks, Carolyn, and Brenda!

Thanks, Suzanne - a great time was had by all!

That's great Brenda. I was in that one too. I like the Au only giveaways, you have more of a chance of winning.

Nice Andrea!
Nice Andrea!

You're very welcome Andrea, it was great to see you! (I've already added your bookmark to my collection, so thanks a million). Definitely count me in for the next Melbourne catch up :-)

Hilarious title!

Jealous!!!

Yay! Yes it was Marianne. Good to see some AR's winning.

Very pleased for you both! I have one on reserve at the library, and will probably buy it....eventually.

Wow, that's awesome Andrea! How many GR giveaways would you say you've entered? I've entered 'pages' worth, but never won one.
