I can see how that might help and I felt a bit guilty too because it is such an important part of our history but oh well...

message 483: by Rachael (last edited Jul 13, 2014 05:56PM) (new)

Rachael | 94 comments Here is my update - hardly any of them are the books I put down initally but going OK.

1b Long term TBR Friday Brown by Vikki Wakefield 2*
2 New Release What Came Before by Anna George 3.5*
4. Childrens Day Two Weeks with the Queen (Cascades) by Morris Gleitzman 4*
5a Non-fiction Burial Rites by Hannah Kent 4* (although this is fiction based on some known facts so perhaps slightly dubious for this category)
5b Fiction The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty 4.5*
7. National Tree Day - borrowed from the library The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith 4* (as I borrow the majority of my books from the library these days it was not too tough a "challenge" for me)
10a Naughty - Summer House with Swimming Pool by Herman Koch 2* - very disappointing after The Dinner
10b Nice (comedy) The Eye of Zoltar (The Last Dragonslayer, #3) by Jasper Fforde 4.5*

Only 4 to go so - all things being equal - I should make it easily this time.
