hey guys - we (the mods) are toying with a challenge idea that involves using listopias (based on a challenge in the m/m romance group) - but we need your help

there are over 4000 listopia's that have been tagged as romance and we would like your inputs, on which ones you would like to see featured

you can nominate up to 5 lists - but they need to have at least 200 books on them

Listopia REALLY needs a better search and sorting system for the major genres, like date created and number of books. *sigh* It would also be nice if they required at least 50 or 100 books before creating a list. All those 1 and 2 book lists are just clogging things up. Grr...*ends rant*

I'm a whiz at Excel, but I can't do anything much with Google docs because my G5 is, you know, ancient. My miniMac is on order though. What do you need?

Becky - I need someone to help me put a challenge spreadsheet together - there would need to be rows with the listopia names/links and then columns where people can input the books read - but needs to have auto calcuations - so when they say book a - hit 5 listopaias) and mark those boxes, it auto adds and then subtracts from the shelves remaining (does that make sense?)

Dee...I think so.. The calculation aspect would be pretty basic, but I'm not sure I understand the subtraction part. Are you thinking each applicable shelf gets 1 point for the book and all other shelves would remain blank, being "0"? If you want to track specific shelves through a challenge to see which one is most popular, I can set that up. Piece of cake. I can always set up a spreadsheet and change it to suit our needs as we play with it.

My new miniMac was delivered last night so I can run Google docs easy now. *Smiles* It's all sunshine and rainbows in my technological world today! LOL! Just let me know what you need.
