Task # 50.1 - Teri-K's task: Let's Start the New Year Off Right

1) Close, But Not Quite Read a book you wanted to read for this challenge but that didn't quite fit the requirements for the task Abattoir Blues (Inspector Banks, #22) by Peter Robinson by Peter Robinson This book almost fits Eask # 30.9, Option 5(Read a book where the letters SALT can be found in the title) It is # 22 in the series which does not have a 1,4, or 6 as part of the series number. It is not a reread.
2) Try, Try Again Read a book you started once upon a time but didn't finish Purity of Blood (Adventures of Captain Alatriste #2) by Arturo Pérez-Reverte by Arturo Pérez-Reverte My husband recommended this book to me back in the 90's when it first came out and I made it about 5 pages and quit. I tried again several years ago for SRC since the author and I share the same initials, but only made it to page 20. Third time is the charm. I finished it. Obviously it is not a reread since I didn't even finish the first chapter the first two times.
3) Jump on the bandwagon -Read a book from the List GoodReads Best Book of the Year 2014 The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin by Gabrielle ZevinThis is # 3 vote getter for the Fiction category and it is not a reread for me.
