I'll either read The First Man in Rome by Colleen McCullough which is a 1000 page doorstop or if I decide I can't cope with that, the shorter Angel.

Haven't read The First Man in Rome but have read Angel Puss which is the same as Angel and absolutely loved it :)
Here are my picks.

I saw that Jools, that's one of the reasons I picked Angel :)
I'd really like to read The First Man in Rome if I have time Phrynne! The series does sound good but I'm not sure I should be starting another series of chunky books right now!

Ah but don't they always!!! That's why we all have long lists of books to be read:)

I've discovered that there's a run on Colleen McCullough's books at my library, which is understandable. However it does limit my choices a bit. Anyway, here's my proposed list, subject to availability:
1. A debut novel:

2. An author new to me:
Although I know her name well, I've never read anything by Jackie French. Since she has been named 2015 Senior Australian of the Year, I must remedy that situation post haste.

3. A title by Colleen McCullough:

4. A male author:

I'm already committed to read 24 books for the 2015 Australian Authors Challenge, which is year-long. Can the titles I have just posted above for this March Aussie Authors challenge be counted into that larger, longer list?

Yes Mary they can:) You can double or even triple up if you find your books qualify... so rest easily with that!

Sharon The Rosie Project is a great choice, but "c" is a necessary part of the challenge's criteria :) Good luck and enjoy :)
