Mary, It's unfortunate that you missed the event, but I can see that you were added to team Red but they couldn't reach you since your profile is set to private, so I wouldn't go as far as saying that you were excluded by any means. Perhaps it would be helpful to change that in the future :)

There's going to be another team readathon later in the year.

Lisa is 100% correct, Mary. You were assigned to Team Red in the readathon team announcement, but, unfortunately, you never joined us.

I thought perhaps you had somehow overlooked the announcement post above, as well as this other message linking to the team lists, so I tried to reach out to you directly.

Since your privacy settings allow only your GR friends to message you, I (Red Team leader) sent you a friend request the week before the event. Weeks later, said friend request remains unaccepted. I hoped to message you the Team Red discussion link directly. Feel free to peruse that thread, and you will see that we were anxiously waiting your participation. You most certainly were not excluded.

Should you wish to join the September team readathon, I heartily second Lisa's suggestion that you change your privacy settings so that you will be able to hear from your fellow group members in the future. I would also recommend that you watch the discussions and announcements in the readathon folder.
