Donne | 26 comments This has been one of my fave series for a long time now. It's always been a fast paced, action packed crime thriller. However, this installment broke my heart and left me in tears.

Nemesis (Orphan X, #10) by Gregg Hurwitz - /review/show...

Donne | 26 comments This is the start of a new series about a group of FBI misfits. I like stories with quirky characters; their quirks definitely add value to a story.

These posts are great. I'm trying to pare down my TBR list but when I start adding again I'm taking several due to your reviews. Thanks.

Donne | 26 comments This series just keeps getting better. As a character driven reader, this continuing character development in this third installment was well done. The ending left a lump in my throat, a telltale sign that I have become emotionally attached to the characters.

He Will Find You (Maddie Ives, #3) by Charlie Gallagher - /review/show...

PattyMacDotComma | 581 comments If they've found The Wrong Hands, then whose are they? This is Mark Billingham's Detective Miller #2, but it could easily be a standalone. He is an experienced author who leads us gently through back stories without making me feel guilty for not remembering who's who. 😊)

PattyMacDotComma | 581 comments Neil Gaiman has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons (for him, that is), and ŷ disallowed posting of this review for a couple of weeks. Presumably the trolling (or whatever) has died down, because I was able to post it today.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman Coraline is a bright, inquisitive young girl living in a house that has another magical half with what appears to be another family - hers?! Spooky story for kids and an enjoyable read for adults.

My review of "Coraline" is here:

PattyMacDotComma | 581 comments Liz Moore's The God of the Woods kept me so absorbed that I hope she follows on with a couple of characters.

PattyMacDotComma | 581 comments I seldom read horror but I enjoy Stephen King's other fiction. I loved Dolores Claiborne, a monologue confession by an old lady, spectacularly well narrated by Frances Sternhagen.

PattyMacDotComma | 581 comments The mystery in Clare Leslie Hall's Broken Country is the result of a tangled love triangle over many years. I did not guess the ending, which is always a good thing.

Donne | 26 comments I LOVE BUNNY MCGARRY!!! If you don't find Bunny and his motley crew of friends and misfits hilarious, then you are probably having a really bad day or you simply have no sense of humor. I dare you not to laugh while reading this book.
