I was just thinking the other day about Geoffrey Rush and how all the movies I see with him are interesting/good. Nice list. I tried coconut water, and it is delicious!

Chai latte - spiced or vanilla? I love them both!

Spiced, I haven't tried vanilla yet. I'm sure it's amazing.

When you come back to the States - I know what dish now you will order. And hip hop surprised me because you seemed to be a person who blends the old (classical) with the new. These choices always surprise me when a member does them. Glad you found the thread.

Peter - I don't think there were a lot surprises with yours except maybe the caipirinhas (smile). And being a New York person - you picked two native sons (or daughter).

These are only the artists that I'm currently listening to more than others. There are many more I like, such as Hurts, Joanne Shenandoah and Christina Aguilera (& Rosenvinge). I also listen to Mandopop with Teresa Teng and Faye Wong, I like the language.

I love it when people post on this thread! Thanks for sharing, Luceria. I'm curious - do you not drive or are you agnostic about cars in general. Maybe it is a U.S. thing that people are obsessed with their cars. How do you get around, walk, public transit, train?

It must be nice to be in a location where things are easily accessible on foot or public transport. Good for you.

You should try Thai food in general, it is amazing!

Haha, I was a kid (I think about 6 or 7) and my parents took me to the zoo. When watching the llamas I saw one llama spit at another llama. That was the coolest thing I've seen in my entire life up to that point. For years I would tell everyone the story of a llama spitting on another llama and as I grew up I decided to own up to my childhood fascination with spitting llamas and keep them as my all time favorite animals.

Sadly, my Golden passed some years ago. He outlived the '73 Monte by many years though as my parents bribed me with my mum's old Cutlass Supreme to get rid of it. I bought it from a mechanic for 300 bucks, and it looked like a wreck but roared like a lion.

Yes, I never had another car quite like the "Mad Monte"--the only problem was that the driver's seat didn't lock, so if you were on a bad road it was a bit like one of those carnival teacup rides.

Sounds hilarious. I had a Monte at one time and named it too (smile) - one time the transmission acted up and I could only go backwards - (yikes) - backed into a service station.

Maybe it was the same car (lol)

Hm....I used the term cherry brandy because it's the closest thing. Višnjevac (meaning a brandy made of cherry). It's a sort of an alcoholic beverage we call "rakija" and it can have different tastes....from the regular (pure alcohol) to ones made of different kinds of fruit. It can be very dense or not so much (depends on the producer). It is very sweet and you do not feel like you're drinking something alcoholic...until you start feeling dizzy when you try to stand on your feet :D :D :D
