Bone Magic was okay, a 2.5 star book.

Does the Nightside series need to be read in order?

I think it would be best...but the books are fairly self contained. I have been reading them in order and more is revealed about who he is-which is nice-in each book. They are gritty paranormal mysteries so they probobly hold up out of order pretty well though.

Veil of Midnight was a pretty good book. Unique story, new characters. Liked it.

Rosemary and Rue was a very good book. A little sad in parts, a small romance, but mostly a mystery.
