Task 15.8 Biography
I read Unshaken by Francine Rivers for 15 points.
Total RWS points = 115"
Unfortunately, novels cannot be used for 15.8 Biography. This book could fit 10.1 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (Winter 10.7 - No "L"). Let me know if you'd like to claim it for this task.

Jules, your post is correct! But I have a suggestion for more points:
The Count of Monte Cristo could also fit 20.1 Alliteration for a total of 60 task points. Let me know if you'd rather claim it as 20.1 or keep it as 10.7 for 55 task points (adding 5 combo points).

10.7 - Karen's 3rd Place Task (Scrabble)
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
T-C-O-M-C-A-D makes CAT, DOT, MA..."
That's true! I only read the clarification of what counts as an alliteration after I posted those points. I can still read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for 20.1 too, right? If so I'll gladly take your suggestion! :)

Now I am certainly confused what the cyberpunk genre really is. This book was on the list but didn't seem to have anything to do with the description I had been given in our last challenge when I asked what cyberpunk is. Doesn't 'cyber' mean something about a computer? Isn't it like science fiction? The Big Sleep is a "hard-boiled detective novel" of the 1930's. the list did say it "had the same multi-layered personality and writing style of cyber punk". Is Kinky Friedman a cyberpunk author because his mystery novels are re-incarnations of the Chandler style? Does it mean books where the main character is not one-sided, that the writing is short choppy sentences with loads of sarcasm? Don't get me wrong, I love Chandler and Friedman but I never thought they was cyberpunk, but then I never heard the term before now anyway. I also read somewhere while trying to figure out this answer that the old detective novels had the political corruption of cyber punk. So is cyber punk government corruption novels??? Once I get the true meaning to this question, I will go on to the next stumper, 'Steampunk'

I've claimed The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows for 15.4, Historical Fiction. I'd much rather use it for 10.9, Pi Day, as that would allow me to use a different book for the historical fiction task which I can't place with any other task.
My grand total would then be 130 points (five points lower than before).
Is that okay?

Longfellow is listed on Bloom's Western Canon for "Selected Poems", I am allowing the canon points for this, because it is included in many editions of Collected/Selected Poems.

nsfancy, I assumed you'd want to use Dead Until Dark for 15.5 Supernatural, keeping the same Grand Total of 165. If you'd like to move it somewhere else, let me know.
