We have a cartoonist here with our local paper too Jane, and he's had books of his cartoons released. They're very clever, aren't they!
Yes, cartoonists have very sharp eyes, they catch/create some moments that not only are funny but to a point. Mark Knight is well known for his political and current affair cartoons (not that I'm particularly interested in politics or current affairs).
I got my copies of 'life's a witch' and 'the coven' signed by Fiona Horne :)

I've never understood what this is all about. I've actually had authors offer to sign books for me and have probably insulted them terribly by refusing to let them. The one exception I've made in my whole life is that I have two signed books by Aussie sci-fi maestro Marianne de Pierres - basically because she's a mate.
I have an autographed book Lisa Heidke sent me, and today at a literary lunch I got two books signed by Jodi Picoult.And once I bought a book on Amazon for a friend, as I was handing it over to him, I noticed that there was something scribbled in the front, he came back to me, said, it's an Author signature, LOL!!, he was thrilled to bits.
i have a signed copy of American Gods by Neil Gaiman from his last melbourne visit. screamed like a fan girl!

Just got back from Charlaine Harris, it was amazing, she's so friendly and funny got two books signed and one for my Aunty and a photo with her (will upload 2moro) :)

I was just lucky to pick them up in my book shop. Lucy my bookseller said they just go to the ware house and sign copy's and they then get sent out to whoever. So I consider myself very lucky.
I was lucky enough to attend a book signing by Charlaine Harris the other week and now have a signed copy of Deadlocked. Yay! That's the only one I've had signed while meeting the author, but I have a handful of others that I bought pre-signed.

Ha...I like the first story! But the second story is brilliant, as it's a limited edition, and will be worth a fortune...which of course will make it even more special to you! Good on your wife, a really lovely gift!

I also loved The Shadow of the Wind which we read for bookclub, and Michael (KL) had recommended it as well. I haven't read any more of his yet.

The Angel's Game is the sequel to Shadow of the Wind.

I've read the debut, and got the next. It's fast paced thriller, quite like Harlan Coben or Linwood Barclay style. I recommend it to thriller lovers.

Do you know the 3rd book is out now called The Prisoner of Heaven & I've read somewhere that there will be a 4th & final book but I don't know when that will be released

Lauren Kate visited my school last year and she signed my copy of Fallen! I also have a signed bookmark from Sarah Mlynowski that she sent to me, yes it is authentic.
