I'm not sure if there is a specific website..you could always just PM the people who want your facebook with your first and last name.

message 22: by Heather (new)

Heather (andshewontsleep) Does anyone use Twitter? I actually just started using mine and have developed a bit of an obsession. I am andshewontsleep if you have one and want to follow me!

I'm also on facebook & myspace.. but I don't really use myspace much anymore.

i used to real big on facebook...but for some reason i never go on it anymore.and i'm almost never on myspace..i'm kind of over myspace. i like GR better! :)

Heather..what's Twitter? I've heard of it but have no idea what it is.

message 25: by Heather (new)

Heather (andshewontsleep) Twitter is basically like the status updates on facebook.. so you can constantly keep your friends up to date on what you're doing.

message 26: by Heather (new)

Heather (andshewontsleep) When I first started it, I used it a lot. Now it's kind of lost its appeal somewhat, but I still use it when I remember. There is an option here on GR to automatically update your Twitter whenever you update what book you are currently reading too.

message 27: by Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner), The Founding Bookworm (new)

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 4407 comments Mod
that sounds interesting..i'll have to check it out!

message 28: by Heather (last edited Feb 25, 2009 02:40AM) (new)

Heather (andshewontsleep) I have tried it. I've got it disabled at the moment because if you update on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ with what page you're on, it just updates on Twitter with "Heather is reading New Moon", not a page number or anything, so every time I update the page I'm on it just tells everyone the book I'm reading again which is probably annoying haha.

message 29: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) This is really random, but I used to be able to find this part of goodreads where it tells you how to post a link of the book you're talking about, and now I cannot find it for the life of me! Does anybody know where it went or how to post a link? I always forget.

message 30: by Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner), The Founding Bookworm (new)

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 4407 comments Mod
do you mean like this:

Twilight ?

message 31: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) Yes, Jamie. Exactly like that. Or there is also something you can do to make the picture of the book show up with a link to it.
And thanks Ashley! I didn't even notice that was there.
I just remember there being this whole list of ways you could link that came up on the right side of some page on goodreads that I can't seem to find anymore. But at least I know how to do it now.
=)

message 38: by Caiti Casey (new)

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) I just signed up for twitter mine is mediainsane.

I also have a facebook and myspace. Just type in my first and last name if you wish.

Justine and Jayme I added you on twitter.

message 39: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Caiti, I looked for you on twitter but it was a no-go.

My twitter is CoffeeGirl217.

message 40: by Lynnie (new)

Lynnie hey lori, I was just browsing your blog and I noticed you had written something about thinking about converting to Catholicism. Are you still interested in that? (Or maybe you already looked into it.. I think it was an older post) I'm just wondering b/c I am Catholic so if you had any questions I'd be happy to answer them for you! My mom was raised a Lutheran too (although not super strictly) but converted to Catholicism

message 41: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Saved by Grace and Lynn, Thank you so much for checking out my blog. I love hearing back from people.

message 42: by Caiti Casey (new)

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) Ugh, I so wish we all lived near each other. I so could use some girl time. And I don't really have any girlfirnes. Reading Lori's blog made me really feel it and I don't know if it's because we are the same age, but I just want some girl time ya know?

Lori, if you are still intrested in converting let me know how it goes for you. Because my boyfriend is Catholic and I might consider switching over when we got married just to make things easier on future kids.

message 43: by Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner), The Founding Bookworm (new)

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 4407 comments Mod
I'm with you on that one Caiti! I have one really close girl friend..my best friend..but she is engaged and soon to be married..so i am realizing how much i need more girl friends! I mean..i think it's great how close we all are on here but i really really wish that we could all hang out!

message 44: by Caiti Casey (new)

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) You know how weird we would be though, rather than always watching movies we would probably just sit around and read together. HA!

message 45: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker I don't have that many close friends either. I've loved getting to know everyone on this site.

Caiti, Thank you for reading my blog. And yes I'm still interested in converting, but I don't even know where to begin with asking questions. Does your boyfriend (probably his mom actually) know of any books that explain it all?

I don't think there's anything wrong with just reading together. We would all meet at a coffeehouse and sit and read for hours and sporadically stop to share something funny or insightful that we found in our books.

message 46: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) I used to be Catholic, but I switched to a kind of general Christianity (I guess you might call it evangelical, but I'm not quite sure). I had a lot of qualms with the Catholic church, but it has done a lot of good for a lot of people I'm sure. My boyfriend is Jewish, so that's a whole 'nother story. I'm hoping we can raise our kids as Christians, but that wouldn't really be fair to him...so we'll see.
I wish we all lived near each other too! We could have a monthly get together to chat and discuss books or something. In a perfect world... =)

message 47: by Caiti Casey (last edited Jan 11, 2009 07:37PM) (new)

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) See I have some problems with switching because I'm a Christian without a denomination but it would be easier to raise kids one way rather than both.

message 48: by Jessika (new)

Jessika Hoover (jessalittlenerdy) Caiti--I totally agree with you: I wish we could all hang out! I don't really have many girlfriends and thankfully, my best friend loves talking about books, or else I'd go crazy!

I don't remember if I posted here already or not, but if any of you want to add me on facebook, just search Jess Michaelangelo...I should be the only one haha :)

My myspace is:
And my twitter is

Feel free to add me :)

message 49: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) I totally agree. It's best to raise kids one way or the other, but it's really hard if you and your husband have different religious beliefs.

message 50: by Caiti Casey (new)

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) Fo Sho. I had a friend who's dad was Catholic and her mom was Jewish. They were able to pull it off really well though, she learned Hebrew and did other Jewish classes and went to a Catholic school.
