What are you currently reading for 2012?

I started yesterday, so I have a carry over. lol

I just started .

I finished , wonderful book.

Eek! Already, I want to read the all , LOL! Finised (got it late from the library) - started at midnight! Then started to listen to . Almost done with in PB and up next is - which simple everyone says I must read!

I've just started by Nora Roberts and am loving it!

I'm reading by JoAnn Ross. I'm originally from south Louisiana so I tend to read books set there. However, this one is something else....I've never ridden in a pirogue and while I understand the way they're talking, it kind of makes Cajuns sound dumb, and I'm feeling very protective of my heritage LOL I'll reserve judgement until I finish the whole book.

I am not a fan of the series either, ladies....I feel like an outcast amongst romance readers, but there it is.

I haven't been a big fan since book 5, so I'm sorta in the same boat? ;-)

I've never read anything by this author... I think I've heard of her though; I'll have to check her out.

I liked it better the second time. I did the book/audio comb to get through it, as well as a "buddy read". I did find myself interested in finding out about the rest of the BDB, which surprised me and they weren't pushing my buttons at the beginning.

My biggest problems were the vernacular and the villain. Do they all have to sound like ZZ Top, or whoever is? And the villain - **blows raspberry** I just wanted to skip his sections. Not that I don’t like a good villain; he just didn’t hold my attention.

Nope, sorry, I'm a BDB fan LOL While I haven't enjoyed every book (I'm talking about Phury's and honestly, the last one was kinda bleh as well), I do like the Brothers :)

Just finished . It was pretty good but it felt like the "fighting" between the H/h went on way too long.
I am now reading and I love this series!

I never did follow-up with you on the last one. So it wasn't just me that was underwhelmed with it? lol

Nope Heather, not just you. While I was pleased there were no lessers, I felt like she just recycled Butch and the sad thing is Manny doesn't even want to change and spend as long as he can with Payne. Kinda irritated me lol

I thought so too!!!!!!! Didn't do Manny and his story justice at all, IMO.

I think a "buddy read" helps when you either really are struggling with a book. However, it is more fun when you really love a book, too!

Not a lot. Why? I bet you do.

Yeah, I like that new authors can get readers to sample their work. I plan to be one someday. :-)

I'd love to be one too. Nobody likes my heroines though; too Mary Sue, LOL! Good luck to us both!!

hehehe hey we liked Rhapsody and she's one big chunk of Mary Sueness, right?

I like her; but, then, I like most heroines when others don't.
