Haha I remembered what you said ."They drive me bananas" .
I didn't finish the book , I just couldn't stand the stupidity and the other stuff that were going on .Now it's sitting on my DNF shelf.

I should read that book , I enjoyed the first one.

I'm listening to A Lady Awakened (Blackshear Family, #1) by Cecilia Grant which is unlike any HR I've read , it's funny and refreshing , I was laughing the whole time I was listetning to it and walking to work this morning .

Elishia | 2620 comments I'm sure I have that but will probably not read it.

I find it really funny , the heroine is a proper lady that has to get pregnant because her husband died days before. So she hires a neighbour as a stud ,lol. What I find really funny is that (view spoiler)

It's not outright humour , it's more like awkward situations that makes it fuuny

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I liked that one too, Shosho! I have the second one in the series, I just haven't gotten to it.

I highly recommend the Julia Quinn book I finished today. Very good.

message 1914: by Zoe (last edited Dec 22, 2012 02:32PM) (new)

Zoe I'm reading A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr , but here's the problem- I could swear this was a group read (otherwise I probably wouldn't have read it out of order) but now I cannot find what group was reading it. Help! Does that mean I have way too many romance themed groups?

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I'm reading Captive Prince Volume One (Captive Prince, #1) by S.U. Pacat I saw a review of this book on my GR homepage from a friend this afternon. It's an online book so I started reading the prologue, now I'm on chapter 7. Just couldnt stop. It's really good.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I've heard good things about that one, SHosho.

I'm sort of in a reading slump. There are several books I want to start but they're slated for challenges that don't start until the 1st. Maybe I'll work on cleaning up my shelves and do some cross stitch work on the grandbabies's stockings (especially if I ever want to finish them LOL). Then again, I may pick some random book off my kindle and read. Who knows? :)

message 1920: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I'm reading The Magician's Nephew (Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis and Deadly Aim (Angel Delaney Mysteries, #1) by Patricia H. Rushford . Which is an alright suspense/mystery. There is some romance, but not the focal point.

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 33 comments After reading Dominion (Dominion, #1) by S.E. Lund Ascension (Dominion, #2) by S.E. Lund Retribution (The Dominion Series, #3) by S.E. Lund back to back, I needed a break from such an intense series. Just finished Wallbanger by Alice Clayton yesterday. Loved it - 4.5 ★★★★! My TBR list is so long now, thanks to so many good recommendations, I'm having a hard time deciding what to read next. I've heard good things about Down to You (The Bad Boys, #1) by M. Leighton so that might be it. Or maybe Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day ...

message 1922: by Michelle (last edited Dec 28, 2012 10:56AM) (new)

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 33 comments And, if anyone is interested, Dominion (Dominion, #1) by S.E. Lund is on sale for .99 at Amazon through New Years; Down to You (The Bad Boys, #1) by M. Leighton is also .99 at Amazon, but I don't know how long.

I don't know how to say it, the characters are so strong and developed and it's not smuty at all. It was freaking fantastic.
