do you ever have like really weird book coincidences? examples: a few months ago i read two completely unrelated books in one day that both had characters named oleander and etienne and today i've read two with men named declan who lose fingers/hands. like what are the odds?

i like how i've been making a point of reading ALL the new releases on my tbr this year and i've still only read like a single book in less than half the goodreads choice categories ...except for middle grade where i've read four and graphic novels with five. how old am i again lol

and now there's some wizard tournament that involves a chalice. oh and the draco character has two crabbe and goyle-esque cronies. wow.

please i am begging you, introduce an original non harry potter related plot point

listen i liked the other two books i read in this series but oh my god please don't tell me this is a harry potter ripoff lmao

surely it must be possible to write werewolves that aren't giant fucking assholes but i've never seen it done. and yet i keep trying to read books with werewolves in them lol why do i not learn

you just KNOW a book is gonna be good when the author spends most of the first chapter calling out her fans and trying to justify how out of character everyone is and how this book is going to have no coherent plot because she still refuses to use an editor
