well so far this morning on here i have seen someone insist that they can tell you that a book isn't racist because they are gay and someone else say that women telling other women not to waste their time on sexist books means 'the gender bias is real'. can i just go back to bed lmao

ok, finally time to reread this before the show starts! i've been putting it off because it's so long lol

this book is funny but i am realizing that it probably would be a lot more funny if i had read more than a few of the classic books they are parodying

tbh the most unbelievable thing about this - and modern YA in general - is that this huge worldwide secret organization is like 'who should we hire for this dangerous top secret job? ... TEENAGERS!' like lmao what happens when your employees get grounded?? it's just so unrealistic to me that they don't at least bump the starting age from 16 to 18 so they're at least legally adults. i know i know, suspend my disbelief

oh good, the beginnings of another love triangle and pretentious prep school kids. i'm getting raven cycle flashbacks and coming from me that is not a compliment lol
