The writing is great, the setting is absolutely fantastic and interesting to me.
But this feels strange, like it is supposed to provide context to things important for later books, and Jacob keeps making enemies needlessly and crassly... I also do not get the why of the immediate crush, but whatever.

I am very curious to see your final thoughts! For me, it was a 4 star book nearly all the way through, and then the final chapters happened, and so 5 stars it was :) Happy reading! (Hopefully.)

Oh, I am curious then, but it's slow going, Jacob who is supposedlu very clever keeps doing stupid things and I get annoyed. I am also spending a lot of time reading the wikipedia about things in here, lol.....
