This book continues to surprise me with its gorgeous and playful prose. Playful in the way Paul McCartney is with music ; but stylistic in a way that I associate with “heavier� stuff (John Lennon?). Online it seems his other novels are more well loved ; so I’m definitely happy to befriend this novel as a first step :)

Really loving this so far. Kind of started reading it on a whim. I don't know much about this writer, but this is quite good. On the second story now ... This will be my secondary book -- not primary -- primary book is Magic Mountain !
