I’m just chilling reading this book and then it suddenly hits me that it’s LITERALLY narrated by death, which I already knew but still.....I ain’t chilling no more

Hans is such a great father figure: chases away your nightmares, trades his cigarettes for books to gift you, teaches you how to read and how to roll a cigarette, stays up until dawn reading you a book about how to properly bury bodies..... just ordinary stuff good dads� typically do 👀

if I’ve learned one thing from this book so far, it would be how to insult people in German. this is turning out to be a very educational experience
