I'm still reading the back stories but I say at least read the first 2 chapters. Those are the most painful and you can get them out of the way. Then Chapter 9 is painful as well...

Its awful in a good way if that helps. The books are overly wordy but the characters consume you in the best way possible.

If you like m/m, dystopian, angsty stories, and you don't mind the length, then you should definitely read this series. It's definitely worth the time and effort. And it's free.

I"m going to skim for sure. I don't think there is any way someone even if they paid me to read Chapter 9 again could I do it. Once again its great for the story, great for the characterizations, fits, but utterly gut-wrenching. But, I'll def reread Chapter 14. Skim the rest.

It might not affect you as much. It didn't bother Aiko if I remember correctly. For me, though Idk it was devastating on so many accounts. :-/

I love Sin too. But in the context of it all, it didn't bother me. It hurt. Of course it did. But it wasn't that "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING THIS YOU NUTBALL"-fury..it was the "well...my heart is already pulled out. run over about 15 times. salt all over the wound, and it's still bleeding"-pain, that results in me going "oh...cope however you can cope, I'll just sit here with my bottle of vodka and try and forget".

I wouldn't mind putting a straitjacket on a couple of the people from the agency though..then throw them into Sin's cage, and forget about them.
