I keep trying and trying to get further into this book but its sooooo boring! I heard amazing things, so maybe I'll skip to the second story and hope for improvement.

I'm really struggling to keep going on this. The sexism/heavily sex (gender)-based roles are done in a way that feel natural to the writer as opposed to being a dystopian world building tool. I think I'm going to have to come back to this.

It's really troubling to me that none of the Booktubers who raved about this book mentioned the pedophilia. It's a MAJOR theme, at least in the beginning. Sexism is rife. People still seem to be sexist/racist/ableist but hey at least they're almost not homophobic! I hate to think about how this will talk about trans people if they're brought up.... it's making me so uncomfortable to read.
