So far, so disappointing. On page 20, she complains that male doctors reformed their belief that menstrual cramps were psychosomatic, and she's saying "jeez what a load off," and then 4 pages later, says says that because the moon invoked "beliefs in her brain," her cramps went from crippling to "stopped hurting"... so she's saying they ARE psychosomatic?! WTF! :(

This book occasionally has a great paragraph or two, but they are really buried in it, like a spermicide-soaked sponge up a...well, you know ;)

Maybe it's because I had really high hopes for this book after hearing such wonderful things about it for years, but so far I'd give it like 1 1/2 stars. I agree with her on a lot of things, but... I just...don't like her writing style or her attitude/delivery. She'll get really clear about a few little things and then be allll over the place with huge exaggerations and unclear statements.
