Okay, okay, Lyrisa and Ashe are adorable characters, but why am I invested in a new story when I’m here for the people I already know?

Where’s my Maven? My Cal? Iris, Evangeline, and Kilorn-who’s always overlooked?

Don’t get me wrong, these maps are super cool and detailed, and I love how they’re compared to the maps we have now. Makes it easier to picture.

But WHAT’S the POINT of having all these awesome places mapped out if they barely if ever visit or even mention them in all four books!?!

I mean, I enjoy history as a subject, but not in my dystopian fantasy books.

There are way, WAY too many journal entries.

How am I supposed to remember his entire family line? It gets complicated by the second generation.

Oh yeah. Sure. Mm-hm. NOW First Fridays are brought up. I haven’t heard of those since page 1 of book 1, and I have been irritated over it since.

This does not fix this! It’s too late now. Four books too late. I will remain irritated for eternity now.

Finally finished War Storm: I was upset all weekend. My family said they were never going to let me read another sad book again.

Then this one comes in the mail yesterday.
