After trudging through the second story that appeared to be quite the odd King presentation, we get to the title novella for this collection. In it, Holly Gibney is back with Finders Keepers even more successful than ever. When a bombing at a middle school in Pennsylvania makes the news, Holly is beside herself. She follows some of the reporting and begins to worry, noticing something eerie, possibly an Outsider.

The title novella in this collection is a wonderful return to the theme and characters from THE OUTSIDER, with Holly Gibney discovering something odd at a school explosion. The twists in this piece make it true KING and well worth the read. The final piece explores the life of writer Drew Larson, who is trying to try his 'next major piece of fiction', but struggles doing so. He isolates at the family cabin. Helpful?

In the first of the four stories, a young boy comes into a windfall and buys his elderly neighbour an iPhone. What follows is not only eye opening for Craig, but also the elderly man, who learns the wonders of the World Wide Web. After the man’s death, Craig continues to communicate with him, with interesting results. The second story appears to be set on the verge of a coming apocalypse. Still too soon to tell!
