Finished Chapter 1 of Part 2. I didn鈥檛 know this book contained so much unapologetically queer content, which must have been shockingly rare for readers to encounter in 1962.

Baldwin remains incredibly adept at bringing to life complex and sometimes contradictory characters in an incredibly vivid and authentic manner.
