Weird start. Seriously unlikeable main protagonist. I get that not everyone's going to be a "strong female character" but wow. This lady is in her 30s and is literally afraid of shadows; everyone and everything is terrifying or threatening. The plot is interesting enough, but the POV is not enjoyable. Or maybe this is just reminding me of Holly and The Outsider.
