Oh yes, this one definitely took more effort than the first two.

I actually LOVED this new setting, but I can totally see why you would struggle with it. I think it also helped me that I was buddy reading it and I read the novellas before so I was eased into what this book was gonna be about, and since the other characters appear in the novellas I didn't missed them as much and got to enjoy more Spensa's journey XD

I read the novellas first too, I really loved them! I only have 2 hrs left on the audiobook, so haven't struggled the whole time, just this last bit I guess? I do miss the other characters a lot,and am hoping book 4 will link them back up but Idk.bi bet buddy reading would help! Did you do it with Aoife?

The novellas were the best XD I loved the book but I think I liked the novellas best *chuckles* I found myself a little lost with all the new information this book presented and that was a bit hard.

I did! We've been BR this series with Aoife since Starsight released - though we have BR the whole series together so far, I just had already read Skyward XD - and it's been a blast. I will always maintain that BR makes books more fun. It certainly helped me make head and tail from some of the things this book introduced XD
