M.J., I saw the movie years ago, and I didn't care for it. The book is so much better.

I'm always curious when they adapt more transgressive works, I saw the film adaptation of Frisk a few months ago, sadly underwhelming as well.

I agree, it was a very good performance. But his character in the book did not get the kind of attention and care that he got in the movie.

I would even say that the whole point of the book is the apathy and vacuity of that character, I haven't seen the movie, but I would hope for it to be as stark and hopeless...

Definitely too melodramatic and not enough nihilism. Which Easton Ellis adaptation do you find to be the most faithful? American Psycho was pretty close and Christian Bale understood the material I think.

I agree, Lizz. I would have to read and watch American Psycho again to see how accurate the movie is. Not a bad idea, eh?
