Try to think of the last time you contacted the call center of a company, where an automated system probably answered your call. Replacing the human factor presents many competitive advantages in terms of cost and availability. However, these systems do not fully incorporate the communicative behaviours humans use and hence are limited in reaching their full potential.

The more content that is available online, the less easy it is to discover and consume the most important information efficiently. Automatically extracting the gist of longer texts into an accurate summary and thus eliminating irrelevant content is urgently needed. Once again, machines can undertake this role.

Systems of this kind try to identify similarities between customers based on past behaviours and people with similar purchase habits can recommend products to each other. The benefit, in this case, is that customers are exposed to items in which they have never expressed any explicit interest.

Théo d'Or Quite logical so far. Btw, why does everything have to have a logic ?

Manny In the beginning, there was the word.

Théo d'Or In the beginning, there was the cry.
Then, the laugh.
And then, Bugs. Even if Trump claims otherwise.

Manny I have never seen Trump make any claims about the beginning of the universe. It seems like a surprising omission.

Théo d'Or Ah..So didn't Trump say he himself was the Bang ?

Manny I know, it's weird. Why ever not? Seems totally out of character.

message 7: by Théo d'Or (new)

Théo d'Or If it could proven that the atoms scattered in the Bang have nothing of Trump's organic system, it would be a small step for man, but a giant leap for mankind.

Manny Sounds like liberal science to me.

message 9: by Théo d'Or (new)

Théo d'Or This is why Trump banned Kinder Surprise. What's on the surface can be deceiving. The core of the matter may be harmful.
