The world-building is better and I don't have to guess as many words. But surprisingly like reading Asimov in Italian.

Sounds like you've got a substantial lead, but why not? :)
I need some motivation to finish it! Oddly enough I've quite enjoyed it but I've found it hard going on the whole. I've re-read bits but still got a hundred or maybe two hundred to go.
I'm still somewhat short of the halfway mark.It is an extremely clever book!
Yes! Also what you said recently about reading Roger Penrose's Big Physics Book has rekindled my interest in having another go at that. So thanks for that too! It's also a rather clever book!
And they are both very fond of the World of Forms, or, as they prefer to say in Anathem, the Hylaean Theoric World...
On initial release, it came with a soundtrack cd. And it’s AWESOME. Essentially Nepalese throat singing/ Bay City Rollers hybrid.
