Having a young child be the narrator in the book and in the audio was a genius move, I think. It's really why I wanted to read this again, via audio and the narrator is terrific!

Huh, I’ve never come across a child narrator. I’ve never even considered it before. But I can imagine how hearing from a youthful perspective could make things scarier. Malerman must’ve done a good job crafting that POV. I’m interested- adding this to my library queue! Thanks for the recommendation

I never have come across a child narrator either. I should be more clear, the narrator, (or POV), of the book is a young girl. The narrator of the audio is a grown woman, but in the voice of Bella, a child. And yeah, I've already read this book and know what happens. But it is STILL creepy AF and I'm worried for Bella. lol
